Start Writing

Enjoy an evening discussing writing tips and publishing paths with fabulous author Charlotte Nash and experienced publisher and editor Bernadette Foley

·      Dreaming of writing a novel or memoir but don’t know how to begin?

·      You’ve finished the first draft and wondering what to do next?

·      Want to know how publishers and authors work together in this age of Amazon?

To discuss these burning questions, which are important for all writers, join Charlotte Nash, author of 5 brilliant novels that have entertained Australians since her first, Ryders Ridge, was released in 2013 and are now charming readers around the world, and publisher–editor Bernadette Foley, who has over 25 years experience in the book industry and has worked with some of the nation’s best-loved authors, including Charlotte.

We’ll also offer tips and advice for new writers of fiction and creative non-fiction; look at pathways to publication, and aspects of today’s publishing industry; and answer your queries about writing and how to keep up the momentum and enthusiasm till you type the words ‘The End’. Before and after the talk, you can mingle and meet other emerging writers over a drink and nibbles.

It’s all happening in the delightful setting of MOMO Brasserie, Ground floor of the BNP Bld, 65 Elizabeth Street, Sydney, between King Street and Martin Place, just up from Martin Place station.

Price: $25 includes the talk, a drink and light finger-food
